Traversing Easy Street

A year or so ago I decided to get myself an office. I had been working from home since I graduated from college, and I decided that it was time to get out of the house. The other day I got to the office, and there were police everywhere. Apparently the office right across the hall from mine had been broken in to. It was a total mess, all of the computers were either broken or stolen. Lucky for the business across the hall, they had set up a disaster recovery in case of an emergency such as a break in. They had envisioned protecting themselves if there were an earthquake or a fire, but having the disaster recovery ended up working in their favor for when they had the robbery. I could not even imagine what would have happened to me if the robbers had decided to go across the hall and hit my office too. I would have lost so much important work that I would not have been able to recover. As soon as I sat down at my desk I started to research disaster recovery services. Hopefully I will never even have to use it, but it feels going knowing that I do just in case.
