HIGHRISE APARTMENT

Have you ever known a trust fund baby? One of those people that doesn’t have to worry about money because their parents made so much and tucked enough of it away for them? They can work all these low-paying jobs or just not work for months at all and travel around and so whatever. Yes, of course, I’m jealous. I don’t live in a high-rise apartment in the Loop Chicago. You know the Loop? Downtown Chicago with the flash and glitz? I can’t travel anywhere and probably won’t be able to for at least a year or so because I don’t have any money and can’t take the time off from work anyway. I know more than a few people like this. Ironically, they’re all bartenders and they’re probably the only people who make what bartenders do and still manage to get by. They aren’t bad people though, but it does get annoying when they seem oblivious to the fact that not everyone else has money. One bartender was telling me how annoyed she was when the doorman to her father’s Manhattan apartment building didn’t think she lived there or knew anyone who lived there. Yeah, I have that kind of problem all the time. Doesn’t everyone?
