WRITING HOME
I couldn’t wait to get home and write! Nothing exciting usually happens around the office, but something finally did! Well, it turns out that there’s a new guy working on my floor. I overheard something about how he used to be a St. Louis bankruptcy attorney. I never would’ve guessed it because he seems extremely shy. I haven’t seen or heard him talk much, so he is definitely the office mystery right now! We’re all sort of curious about him. I certainly wasn’t expecting someone so handsome. I know the management talked about staffing some new recruits, but I thought it was all just talk. I admit my work performance is suffering a little bit. I find myself so intrigued by him that I haven’t really been able to concentrate too well on the work I need to get done. It’s terrible! I’d like to introduce myself, but every time I work up enough courage something comes up by the time I do. He probably thinks I’m so rude! It’s completely the opposite. I’m also a very shy person. I have this feeling that we would get along really well. I notice some of the other ladies in the office getting quite friendly with him, so I better say something already!
